I first experimented with drawing a likeness at my grandmother’s place on the Danish island of Lolland. In the neighbouring garden, a tall and rather dominating tree was almost leaning against the fence that surrounded her garden. The tree reached greedily into the horizon with its branches high into the sky. Come winter, the naked branches tried to reach into her garden as if the tree was alive. Ever since, I have had a special relationship with trees.
If you are interested in purchasing one of these three artworks, I will draw a copy from the original for you. I will use the same type of paper and the same type of pencils but the finished result will always become a new version with its own particular details. The drawings are 21 x 30 cm, pencil on acid free paper.
